Worth it

Everything we do for Jesus is worth it.  Paul said compared to knowing Christ everything else was dung.  poop.  worthless.  I want my life to point to the greatness of God.  Whether preaching to 20,000 or having coffee with one.  Whether I am home or thousands of miles away for the Kingdom and the Call it is all worth it for Jesus.  1 Corinthians 10:31 says that whatever we do should be done for the glory of God...may it be so in our lives.  Jesus prayed in John 17 'Father, glorify Your Son because Your Son has brought You glory by doing everything You showed Him to do'...All of creation was made through Jesus.  So may everything we do, create, or make be done through Jesus!  In Him we live, move, breath, and have our being.  It is all in Him, through Him, and worth it because He is worthy.

January Ministry Update

Since embarking on our new journey September 1, 2010, life has been an absolute blur!  As we begin a new year my heart rejoices because God is faithfully  moving and is building His kingdom here on earth as it is in heaven.  Psalm 26:8 says, ‘I love the house where you live, O Lord, the place where Your glory dwells.’  The house the Lord is building is with ‘living stones’ of men and women all across the world who have forsaken all to follow the call to come and die and carry the cross of Christ.  God has been putting a deep love in my heart for the Church like never before.  It says in Ephesians 1:23 that ‘we (the Church) are the fulness of Him who fills everything in every way and later in 3:10 that ‘His intent is that now through the Church the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to everyone everywhere that redemption is possible for anyone who believes in Christ!  God wants to use the CHURCH to get the good news out to every nation, tribe, and tongue because Jesus has purchased them with His sacrificial death and resurrection (Revelation 5:9-10).  Call it a new spark or a new outlook, whatever it is, God is doing a new thing in my life and I have a holy optimism of the potential the Church has in reaching the lost, last, and the least in our cities, regions, states, country, and world!
Some may wonder why we need revival or special services at all.  The reason is because we (I) forget, grow comfortable, lose earnestness and passion all too easily.  We get bogged down with the things of this world and lose focus of what life is all about.  I forget and need correction that it is not about me but Him.  Sometimes we need another voice that is calling out in the wilderness.  A fresh perspective, a different way of saying it.  This is what I have loved being a part of these past four months.  Traveling to more than 12 states, joining in on what God is already doing at local churches and coming along side them offering a fresh word, perspective, song, and ultimately reminding the Church of her calling, her rightful place in the world, and her beauty in the eyes of the Bridegroom (Christ).  The fact of the matter is we, the people of God need to be encouraged, uplifted, strengthened, cleansed, and called back to holy living and loving on a regular basis because that is all too often not our ‘default’ mode.
Dear saint, prayer partner, friend, and fellow child of God thank you for your continued prayers and support in our endeavor to Beautify the Bride.  The fact of the matter is that Jesus calls the Church beautiful because of what He has done by cleansing her with His blood and the washing with the water of His word (Ephesians 5:25-27).  However, when we allow compromise, sin, fear, and disobedience in our lives we begin to forfeit the power and purity that Jesus paid for us to continually live in.  The whole point in calling people to holiness is so that pure love can flow to every person we encounter.  So that Jesus is high and lifted up in our workplaces, schools, homes, churches, or wherever else we may go.  Its about laying down our life so that others can find life (John 12:24-25).  Please continue to pray for open doors to call people of all ages to be fully consecrated and surrendered to the will and purposes of God’s heart.  Remember you are a part of the blessed Bride of Christ...so live like it...love like it...give like it...serve like it...talk like it!

Hearing the Word of the Lord

On Wednesday November 10th 2010 the Word of the Lord came to my heart and I will respond in obedience! I am saying yes to His plan and His purpose and on days that I feel like quitting and giving up I will remember November 10th 2010 and will not turn back for the Lord who began a good work in me will carry it on to completion and the One who calls me is faithful and He will do it(Philippians 1:6 & 1 Thessalonians 5:24)! When the Word comes we must run into His arms! If the Lord calls us out of the boat and onto the water with Him then THE safest place in the universe is on the water with Jesus! May you hear His call today and run all out for His kingdom and His cause.

Brokenness

I cannot be who God has created me to be unless I am willing for my will to be absolutely broken.  I cannot reach the world with the Gospel unless Chad Bohi is shattered under the weight of the cross.  I cannot have true fellowship in the Spirit with other believers unless my 'ego' is rubble.  I am I cannot be the husband who loves his wife like Christ loved the church unless I am willing to live crucified every moment of everyday.  My deepest heart's desire is to fall on the Rock so that what comes out of this earthen vessel is His glorious Spirit!  May God truly break into the hard shell of 'self' and may His Spirit be set free to do what He wills in and through all of us...starting with me!

Matthew 21:44
He who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, but he on whom it falls will be crushed.”

2 Corinthians 3:16–18
But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.  And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 4:7
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.

Psalm 51:17
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.

For more on brokenness read Watchman Nee's book entitled "The Release of the Spirit" it will rock your world!  Thanks Patti for passing it my way!
